We are excited to announce the below enhancements to this website.
- We are adding a new column that will have work classes. Functionally these will act in tandem with revised CBAs to derive your billing amounts.
- As part of this change, contributions will be reported under a combination of CBA and work classification. Please see page 22 of the updated user guide (under the Employer Documents tab) for a mapping of old CBA codes to the new CBA and Work Class codes. For most this will involve the previous CBAs acting as a work class while the new CBA works to streamline the contributions process when updating rates. Of note is the work class DR, which stands for drywall. This was implemented to account for the different rate of Foundation as required by certain CBAs.
- The View Detail screen, upload file structure, and rate inquiry will also be updated to handle the addition of work classes to the website.
Dues are calculated differently effective Jan. 1, 2022. To correctly calculate the dues, the website now requires that employee Pay Rates (prior to adding in the Vacation contribution) be input.
Dues TP will be calculated as follows:
1) Enter the Pay Rate amount for the employee.
2) This will be multiplied against the number of hours worked entered for the employee.
3) To that result will be added the Welfare, Pension DB, Appr_JM, Vacation, Labor Management, & FTI amounts calculated for the employee.
4) The result of that will be multiplied by the Dues TP rate (3.65 as of September 2020) to calculate the Dues TP amount owed.
Payments for Employer Contributions, if not made electronically via this website, should be sent to: St. Louis Painters Benefit Funds, P.O. Box 790379, St. Louis, MO 63179-0379.
